Roger Ebert Foundation Sculpture Fundraiser

The Roger Ebert Foundation announced the initiation of the fundraiser for their sculpture project. The goal of the project is to erect a life size bronze sculpture of Roger Ebert sitting in the middle of three theater seats displaying his signature "thumbs up" gesture. It will sit outside the Virginia Theatre, just East of the marquee, so photographs of the sculpture can include the marquee behind it. The campaign offers movie fans everywhere an opportunity to share in celebrating Roger Ebert's contribution to the movie industry and their own enjoyment of films. The sculpture will be a permanent memorial which will honor Roger Ebert for both his career and his dedication to his roots. It will also honor him for his determination to press forward with Ebertfest in the face of huge medical challenges. Donors are greatly needed for this fundraising project. If interested in making a donation, and for more information please visit http://ebertsculpture.org/
