Writing a Business Plan Workshop

From 9:00AM to 11:30AM

The Writing a Business Plan workshop provides help in creating a comprehensive business plan unique to your business. Course includes the rationale for completing a business plan, developing a financial analysis, and directions for securing financing. Examples of actual business plans are reviewed. A workbook is provided. All workshops are held at the Champaign County Chamber of Commerce, 303 West Kirby Avenue, Champaign, IL 61820 (next to Jarling's Custard Cup). Cost per workshop is $25. Maple Sugar Day

Learn to tap a maple tree in Homer Lake’s historic Sugar Maple Grove! Explore the science and the history behind maple sugaring, and learn how to do it yourself! Winter Tales

Join us for one of the Museum’s most popular annual events, a concert of American Indian tales, told during the winter months, the traditional time of telling. Unity Music Boosters provide scholarships to students who want to go to music/choir camp in the summer (average week camp in a dorm on campus $750 a teenager) Last year a couple of dozen students went to camp with help from Unity Music Boosters. A minimum of 6 groups from area colleges and UHS High School perform a few songs each. $15 adults, $7 kids. Raffles with big prizes! Diane.Ducey@sjbroadcasting.com

Insect Fear Film Festival

The 31sh Annual Insect Fear Film Festival will be held on February 22, 2014 in Foellinger Auditorium (UIUC Campus). Admission is free and the doors open at 6 PM. In addition to the films, there will also be the traditional IFFF activities, including face painting, the insect petting zoo, annual insect art contest, and Bugscope.
