Over one hundred beautiful handcrafted quilts will soon be on display at Cunningham Childrenâ€™s Home for the 10th Annual Festival of Quilts. The Festival features a Quilt Show, a Silent Auction and Quilt Boutique of beautiful quilts you can take home with you. The Gift Shop, a Bake Sale, and Patchwork CafÃ© offer unique hand crafted gift items and delicious and affordable food items.
The Festival of Quilts is a special tradition at Cunningham Childrenâ€™s Home. Since 1895, every young person that comes to Cunningham is given a hand-made quilt to enjoy and treasure forever.
Admission is $5.00. All proceeds benefit Cunningham children and youth.

Birkey's Farm Store Community Day: Tractors & Food
Community members are invited to visit Birkeyâ€™s new Urbana store.
Children can enjoy a free carnival, including a bounce house, slide, and pedal tractor course. With parental supervision, kids can also explore the large farm equipment. Adults can watch demonstrations of lawn and garden equipment like string trimmers and mowers.
From 9 to 10 a.m., visitors can go on a store tour and enjoy coffee and pastries. Kids activities and demonstrations run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Snacks are available during the day, and free hot dogs and chips will be served at lunch from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Japan House Spring Event
After working for 12 years as the Director of Human Resources for UBS Securities Japan Limited, the Investment Bank Division of Swiss Bank, Hiromi Matsushita left to become a tendai sect monk and lead a quieter and more spiritually connected life. Join us as he discusses his journey toward the priesthood and the role of Buddhism in his life. Tea ceremonies will be held at 10 am, 11 am 12 pm, 2 pm and 3 pm for a reduced rate of $5 per person. Habitat for Humanity Home Maintenance Workshop
These classes are free and open to the public. They are presented by Habitat for Humanity during Money Smart Week as a public service to our community with United Way support.
