  All Day Illinois Concealed Carry Course   IL Concealed Carry Course (16-hr) April 12-13th, 2014, from 9am-6pm Location - Eastland Suites, Urbana, IL Cost - $200 per person (includes range fees & class materials) This IL Concealed Carry Course will satisfy the training requirement in order to apply for IL Concealed Carry License. The first day includes NRA Basic Pistol Course (satisfies the first 8 hours of training). The second eight hours includes the IL specific training requirement. No FOID or firearm needed to receive credit for the course. Firearms are available to rent for an additional $30. The course cost includes range fees. Note: This course satisfies the training requirement for a Florida Non-resident Conceal Carry License!   All Day Boneyard Arts Festival   More than a traditional arts walk, the Boneyard is a unique countywide celebration that takes place in a wide variety of venues (over 100!) - both traditional (theaters, cafes, galleries & museums) and non-traditional (salons & retail stores) - and features the work of literally hundreds of artists.   All Day 3rd Annual Magic and Other Nonsense   Markus Clegg Presents the 3rd annual Magic and Other Nonsense. Bring the whole family to this fun filled night of magic, ventriloquism, and high energy acts. This year magician Markus welcomes ventriloquist Hannah Leskosky, James the Magician, and the Leaders for Life Martial Arts Demo Team. At the Fluid Event Center at 601 N. Country Fair Drive, Champaign, Illinois 61821 Show starts at 7:30pm and doors open at 7:00pm Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 at the door. Tickets are available at Exile on Main St. downtown Champaign and at Fluid Event center 601 N. Country Fair Drive.
 
  9:00AM 4:00PM Illinois Riverwatch Full Workshop   Want to get involved in the stewardship of the state’s rivers and streams? Grab your rubber boots and join the Illinois RiverWatch Program. During this interactive workshop, we will learn to identify stream macro-invertebrates and practice proper monitoring techniques at a local stream. Equipment will be provided. Please bring knee-high boots or waders, sun block, insect repellent, a water bottle and lunch. After completing the workshop, you may adopt a local stream site and monitor annually. Minors are welcome to attend at no cost as long as they are accompanied by an adult. To register, contact the RiverWatch Office at 618-468-2782. $40 per person; must be paid in advance.   9:00AM 8:00PM Books By the Bushel   Join the the Junior League of Champaign-Urbana’s annual Books by the Bushel event. . You can help provide books to the many public and private schools in Champaign, Urbana, and Mahomet that need them most. During this three day event, you can purchase books from the Barnes & Nobel in Champaign and then donate them to the school of your choice. Last year, over 680 books were donated and over $10,000 was raised for Books by the Bushel through this weekend event. With your help, we can make this year a bigger success.
