2nd annual Kids Sidewalk Chalk Contest
40 North | 88 West is proud to announce the 2nd annual Kids Sidewalk Chalk Contest held in conjunction with Friday Night Live on Friday, August 1. Itâ€™s the perfect night to bring the kids to downtown Champaign for a FREE, fun, and family-friendly way to spend an evening on the town!
Kids in pre-k â€“ 8th grade will be encouraged to create their own chalk masterpieces! They will be split into the following age groups; pre-k â€“ kindergarten, 1st â€“ 5th, and 6th â€“ 8th. Judges will be hard at work deciding on the winners in each age category. Chalk will be provided by Rogards Office Plus.
Check-in is between 5:30 and 6:30pm, drawing must be finished by 7:15pm. Winners will be announced and prizes will be handed out at 7:45pm. Prizes include Knightâ€™s Action Waterpark â€œSplash Kingdomâ€ passes, day passes to the new Champaign Park District Leonard Center, punch cards to the new Crystal Lake Park Family Aquatic Center, Meatheads free burger certificates, TCBY gift cards, and much more!

17th Annual St. Jude Champaign to Peoria Run
Over 30 runners raising money for St. Jude Children's Hospital will depart from Downtown Champaign starting at 6 PM. The entire C-U Run team will run the first mile starting from One Main Plaze through the Downtown area in conjuction with Friday Night Live. Urbana Park District presents "Annie"
