Dairyland Donkey Basketball Show |
The Oakwood FFA Alumni will be hosting the Dairyland Donkey Basketball Show on Saturday January 26, 2013 at 6:00pm at the Oakwood High School gym.
Donkey Basketball is a combination of both rodeo and basketball skills, with a mixture of circus on the side. Local players will be in the double-header game with winners to face off in the championship game. Donkey rides will be available for the children during intermission.
These donkeys have been selected specifically for this show and will include “Buckmaster”, whose over 500 pounds of pure dynamite! He’s rough and tough and hasn’t been ridden yet.
All money raised from this event will go directly towards college scholarships for Oakwood FFA members.
If you would like to help sponsor this event, please contact hclem@illinois.edu. All sponsors will be recognized in the game bulletin and any sponsor over $200.00 will have their logo printed on t-shirts worn by event staff volunteers on game night. Sponsorship deadline is Friday December 14.
Advance tickets can be purchased from any Oakwood FFA Alumni member or at the United Community Bank in Oakwood for $6.00. Tickets at the door will be $8.00.

Storytelling at Spurlock Museum |
