So it's my first blog entry and I'm not sure what to write and I'm not really a writer, but here we go with round 1, "The Weekend Wrap-Up".
After I left the station on Friday, I planned for a quite weekend at home! However that didn't playout right at all. I was called to Downtown Champaign late on Friday afternoon for a quick meeting, which turned into a night in Downtown Champaign. After seeing a few friends and visiting we headed for dinner. Forgetting it was mom's weekend and forgetting that every restaurant would be swampped ($$$$) we found refuge from the cold winter wind (even though it is supposedly spring) at Big Grove Tavern in Downtown Champaign. If you've never been may I suggest the deviled eggs for starters then the seared pork tenderloin...YUM!
Saturda was spent doing the usual house work, a little grocery shopping, a little laziness and an unexpected trip to Blooomington/Normal! Luckily it wasn't MOM's Weekend at ISU and my friend Terri and I we're able to enjoy a great dinner at Anju Above, a new Asian Fusion Restaurant in Downtown Bloomington (2 Blocks from Castle Theatre). From the dumplings to the sushi to the donuts, I give it two thumps up!
We also enjoyed, I say that very loosely, a community theatre performance in Bloomington. It was weekend full of great food and now I wrap up the weekend writing this and planning for the morning show tomorrow. I'm ready to for another week and hope you are too! GET UP AND GET GOING~
